Elizabeth Foley

Foley applies her empirical and experiential knowledge to assist attorneys with venue analysis, focus groups/mock trials, voir dire and jury selection, witness preparation and the effective composition and delivery of opening statements and closing arguments. Over the years, she has assisted attorneys in hundreds of cases in venues all over the country.

In addition to consulting, Foley has been a frequent speaker at state bar associations, corporate litigation conferences, trial lawyer conferences and the American Society of Trial Consultants. Recent speaking engagements include the Texas General Counsel Forum: “Jurors’ Perceptions of Corporations,” DRI Toxic Tort & Environmental Law: “Presenting Relative Risk and Complicated Statistics to a Jury—What Matters to Your Decision Makers,” and the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation: “The Trial of a Private Royalty Lawsuit to Judge and Jury.” Foley has also been on the forefront of industry research including articles published on the effective use of apologies in litigation, Generation X, jury decision making and persuasion.

Foley was recently named President Elect of the American Society of Trial Consultants, the pre-eminent organization for establishing practice standards, ethical guidelines, and continuing education for members of this field.
